Transplant schedule

Done with appointments and HOME after being gone for 9 days! Olivia couldn’t wait to get to her bedroom and just enjoy time there! Olivia will be home just 4 days before returning to Indianapolis for appointments and admission to Riley in preparation for the bone marrow transplant. She looks forward to being a kid and enjoying what’s left of her summer in these 4 days! Please pray for Olivia (and Preston) to continue to be healthy. So far Olivia’s slight fever is not delaying the transplant.

Here’s our schedule as we prepare for the Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT):

7/16 - Olivia will have surgery to place a central line in her that will be used to draw blood, receive blood, etc like her port and picc line used to do.
7/17 (day -7) Radiation at 7am and 2pm
7/18 (day -6) Radiation at 7am and 2pm
7/19 (day -5) Radiation at 7am and 2pm
7/20 (day -4) Radiation at 7am, 10am be admitted to the hospital-this starts the 50 day stay, 2pm Radiation.
7/21 (day -3) Chemotherapy
7/22 (day -2) Rest
7/23 (day -1) Rest
7/24 (day 0) Bone Marrow Transplant Day
7/25 (day +1)

We will count days as +day as each day continues. Doctors can predict approximately when to be watching for sign and symptoms from the transplant. Of course none of us are looking forward to the bad side effects but we all can’t wait for our spunky, smiley girl to never have to deal with this again and get back to enjoying life!
