Has been a busy day at Riley gettings things done for Preston and Olivia ahead of the transplant. Everything is going very well and we are reminded of how great the Riley staff are. The bad part is as we think about the up coming transplant and recovery it makes me think of being similar to knowing in 2 weeks your child will be in a very bad car wreck! We will try to focus on the positives!

Thanks to Emily Kai and supporters from all over the country the initial target of $350,000 has been hit! This will ensure that Olivia will get the transplant that she needs! The rest of the story is $350,000 is for standard treatment but does not cover any complications. Every day in the hospital beyond the standard of 50 days is an additional $10,000. Olivia has a history of not taking treatments to well so it’s is likely she will need more than the standard amount of time in the hospital. Olivia has been blessed with a platform to speak from and so many people following her! We want to keep the momentum going to give us the peace of mind that any complications will be covered. Olivia is also very hopeful to raise more money than our family needs and be able to help other kids and families in similar situations.
